Join Compassion Over Killing and the Humane League of Baltimore for free vegetarian food and a presentation by Erin Williams, co-author of the newly-released Why Animals Matter: The Case for Animal Protection. Ms. Williams works for The Humane Society of the United States, and in her book she examines how our simple, everyday choices have far-reaching effects on animals and the world around us. It further uncovers the hidden abuses routinely endured by animals in our society and offers compassionate alternatives.
This free event is open to everyone, so please bring along your friends and family.

Join COK as we celebrate our third annual National (Veggie) Hot Dog Day by giving away free vegetarian hot dogs to the lunch-time crowd in downtown D.C. In addition to free food, we'll be talking with people about the benefits of transitioning to a more compassionate diet as well as offering pro-vegetarian literature, including a flyer exposing the horrors on today's pig factory farms.
