BOCA Vegan Falafel Hits Shelves–But Many Products Still Contain Milk

Kraft Heinz is starting to get on board with more vegan options by rolling out their newest BOCA product: plant-based falafel! This new line contains no egg or dairy ingredients and is made from non-GMO chickpeas. They come in two flavors: original and chipotle.

This is great news for animals and vegans alike, but Kraft Heinz’s BOCA brand is still behind when it comes to the quickly expanding plant-based market. Despite rolling out new fully vegan snacks, most of their products (like their All-American burger) still contain milk produced by the cruel and exploitive dairy industry. With plant-based alternatives on the rise, there’s no need to use milk!

BOCA has already eliminated eggs from their vegetarian line, so why not go all the way and ditch dairy? Nearly 50,000 people have signed COK’s petition asking Kraft Heinz to cut down on cruelty and ditch dairy in their BOCA brand. If you haven’t signed yet, check it out here!
